Asian New Zealander saying Hi
I am 25 year old male, moved to New Zealand at 12 from Taiwan.
I am Taiwanese by birth and I don't know what group I belong to :D
I think I can speak English and Taiwanese adequately but not as fluently as I want it to be. I am not really hardcore Kiwi or Taiwanese.
The language and culture barrier is not going to be easy for the 1st/2nd/3rd generations to have an "identity" they are comfortable with. I am pretty interested in American culture and American people, so add me to friendlist if you want. Current Mood: amused
in response to the comment, no I'm not half Colombian I'm fully Colombian but born in the US......this is my friend Kim who IS half Colombian, jus cus you said you wanted a pic.
here's one of me:
Hi, my name is Kasia. My family moved from Poland to Louisiana when I was seven. I see myself as something between Polish and American . . . I would say Polish-American, but there's a Polish-American community (centered in the northeast US) that I don't belong to either :)
Having said that, I will disappear for the next three months. Nothing personal, I'm just going abroad.
hey people, I'm cindy. I'm Colombian/American....it's always sooo so odd. I feel so strange, because a lot of the time with my Colombian family I feel too American, and with my American friends I feel left out cus I didn't grow up watching Eureka's castle, I grew up with novelas. So I'm definitely gonna promote this Comm. hope it picks up a bit...
